Ted Mermin is the Executive Director of the Berkeley Center for Consumer Law & Economic Justice.

David Nahmias

Legal Director

David Nahmias is the legal director with the Center who oversees the Center's ongoing economic justice advocacy in litigation and regulatory actions. He also leads the Consumer Law Advocates, Scholars & Students (CLASS) Network, a nationwide initiative dedicated to developing consumer law and economic justice curriculum, experiential opportunities, and coordinated projects at law schools around the country.

Christine Hines

NACA Partner

Christine (Legislative Director, National Association of Consumer Advocates) advocates before Congress and federal administrative agencies on consumer protection, including financial services and access to justice. She is actively engaged in promoting a fair and open marketplace that protects the rights of consumers, particularly those of modest means.

Sophia Huang

NACA Partner

Sophia (Legislative and Policy Assistant, National Association of Consumer Advocates) serves as the liaison between NACA members and the legislative team, working with them on national and local issues. She also works on outreach to consumers (Consumers Ascending) and to law students.
