Ted Mermin Writes Op-Ed Supporting an End to "Poverty Tows"

Local governments in California are currently permitted to seize and re-sell the vehicles of people who cannot afford to pay their parking tickets. AB 1082, introduced by Assemblymember Ash Kalra, could end the injustice of these so-called "poverty tows," explains the Center's Executive Director Ted Mermin in an op-ed published today in CalMatters.
