Suzanne Martindale(link is external) (’10), staff attorney at Consumers Union(link is external) and chair of the Center’s public advisory board, has recently been featured discussing the Trump Administration’s reversal of efforts to help student loan borrowers victimized by fraudulent colleges and vocational schools.
Suzanne’s appeared on KQED’s Forum program(link is external) to discuss the resignation of the CFPB’s top watchdog over the student loan industry in protest against changes in the Bureau’s approach to the industry.
Suzanne was also recently quoted in a New York Times article(link is external) highlighting the harm that the Department of Education’s decision to roll back Obama-era protections could cause to students who have attended, or will attend, for-profit colleges.
